跨期决策中的偏好反转:突出性效应和兼容性效应

The Prominent Effect and Compatibility Effect of Intertemporal Preference Reversal

摘要: 风险决策中的偏好反转现象可以用突出性效应和兼容性效应来解释,本研究考察这两种效应是否同样适用于解释跨期决策中的偏好反转现象。采用鼠标追踪范式,考察跨期决策中的选择与出价过程,结果发现:(1)在选择任务中,个体对时间属性的关注比例显著高于出价任务;(2)在出价任务中,个体对金钱属性的关注比例显著高于选择任务。该结果表明跨期决策偏好反转现象中同样可以用突出性效应与兼容性效应来解释。

Abstract: Risky preference reversals can be explained by the prominent effect and the compatibility effect. In the present study, we examined whether these two effects could account for time preference reversals. In the experiment, the choice task and the bidding task were conducted and participants’ information searching process were monitored by the mouse-lab paradigm. The results revealed the difference of attention allocation between the two tasks, supporting the prominent effect and the compatibility effect. Specifically, the proportion of searching time in delay attribute in the choice task was greater than that in the bidding task; whereas, the proportion of searching time in outcome attribute in the bidding task was greater than that in the choice task. Our findings suggest that time preference reversals can be explained by the prominent effect and the compatibility effect.
