The Cognitive Basis on the Differentiation of Identity of the New Generation of Migrant Workers——From the Perspective of the Social Comparison Strategy

Abstract

Abstract: Taking 332 new generation of migrant workers as the subjects, from the perspective of social comparison, this study discusses the relationship between the social comparison strategy and the choice of identity of the new generation of migrant workers in the threatening situation. The research uses the virtual of threatening situation as well as the questionnaire survey method, and examines the characteristics of different identification types of migrant workers on the use of comparative strategy. The results show that in the threatening situations, there are significant differences among different identity types of migrant workers in comparison strategy there are significant differences, which type of urban identity of migrant workers tend to use avoidance strategies; rural identity types of migrant workers tend to select new dimension strategy; fuzzy identity types of migrant workers tend to decrease the importance of dimensions strategy.

摘要： 以332名新生代农民工为被试，从社会比较的视角，探讨威胁情境下新生代农民工社会比较策略与身份选择的关系。研究采用了虚拟创设威胁情境以及问卷调查的方法，测查了不同认同类型农民工比较策略使用的特点。结果表明：在威胁情境下，不同认同类型的农民工在比较策略的使用上均存在显著差异，其中城市人认同类型的农民工倾向于采用回避比较策略；农村人认同类型的农民工倾向于采用选择新的比较维度策略；模糊认同类型的农民工倾向于采用降低比较维度重要性策略。
