家庭经济资本和中小学生阅读兴趣的关系:家庭文化资本的中介作用

The Relationship between Family Economical Capital and Reading Interest of Primary and Secondary School Students: The Mediating Role of Family Cultural Capital

摘要: 以我国中西部8个省份共1954名中小学学生与其家长为调查对象,以家庭资本理论和阅读兴趣模型为基础,采用量化研究的方法建构结构方程模型,分析家庭经济资本和文化资本对阅读兴趣的影响。研究结果发现:(1)中小学生阅读兴趣呈现显著的性别、年级、地区和位置差异;(2)家庭经济资本、文化资本与学生阅读兴趣的正相关关系显著;(3)家庭文化资本在家庭经济资本对阅读兴趣的影响中起中介作用。

Abstract: The current study collected data of 1954 students and their parents in primary and secondary schools from 8 provinces, including western, central, and eastern areas in China. Based on the family capital theory and reading interest model, a structural equation model was used to analyze the effects of family economic capital and family cultural capital on reading interest. The results showed that:1) The reading interest of primary and secondary school students were significant different in terms of gender, grade levels, regions and locations. 2) There were significant positive correlations between family economic capital, cultural capital, and students' reading interest. 3) Family cultural capital played a mediating role between family economic capital and students' reading interest.
