工作记忆容量与走神频率关系的元分析

Association Between Working Memory Capacity and Mind Wandering Frequency: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

摘要: 采用元分析的方法探讨工作记忆容量与走神频率之间的关系,以及影响二者关系的调节因素。通过文献检索,共获得17项研究和73个独立效应量,包含了10834名被试。元分析结果发现:(1)整体上工作记忆容量与走神频率之间呈负相关。(2)使用不同的测量工具所测的工作记忆容量与走神频率的相关有显著差异,同时使用操作广度、阅读广度和对称广度进行测量时,工作记忆容量与走神频率之间的相关最高。(3)走神频率的测量方式对工作记忆容量与走神频率的关系有显著影响,使用探针方式时二者相关最高。(4)任务难度对工作记忆容量与走神频率关系的调节作用并不显著。

Abstract: A meta-analysis was conducted to explore the relationship between working memory capacity and mind wandering frequency and the factors affecting this relationship. Through literature retrieval, 17 cases and 73 independent effect sizes together with 10834 participants which met the inclusion criteria of meta-analysis were selected. Heterogeneity test indicated that random effects model was appropriate for the meta-analysis. The result of funnel plot and Egger's intercept illustrated that there was no publication bias. The main-effect test findings demonstrated that working memory capacity was significantly associated with mind wandering frequency. The moderator analysis revealed that the measurement tools of working memory capacity and mind wandering frequency moderated the relationship between working memory capacity and mind wandering frequency but the task difficulty did not.
