To investigate the relationship among social network site use, online positive feedback, friendship quality and loneliness, a survey research method was adopted in which SNS use Intensity Scale, SNS Positive Feedback Questionnaire, Friendship Quality Scale as well as UCLA Loneliness were administered to 538 middle and high school students. The results indicated: 1)social network site use was positively related to online positive feedback and friendship quality, while social network site use, online positive feedback and friendship quality were all negatively associated with loneliness; social network site use intensity had no direct effect on loneliness, but could significantly predict online positive feedback; online positive feedback could significantly predict friendship quality; and both online positive feedback and friendship quality could significantly predict loneliness. 2)social network site use influenced adolescents′ loneliness through two indirect paths: through the mediating role of online positive feedback; through the chain mediating role of online positive feedback and friendship quality.
The present study highlights the benefits of positive feedback in social network site. Social network site use itself did not have direct effects on friendship and loneliness, but it could predict friendship and loneliness through the mediation of online positive feedback. Thus, to promote adolescents′ friendship quality and lower their loneliness, parents and schools may consider encouraging adolescent to use social network site to disclosure more information, make more honest self-presentation and positive self-presentation which will contribute to receiving more positive feedback.

In order to explore the relationship among cyberostrcism, social exclusion, self-control and depression, we chose 1077 college students as our subjects. The subjects were investigated with such instruments as Cyberostrcism Questionnaire for college students, Social Exclusion Questionnaire, Self-Control scale and Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale(CES-D).
The results indicated that: 1)there were no significant differences in the frequency of social exclusion and cyberostracism. 2)Social exclusion, cyberostracism, self-control and depression were significantly positively correlated with each other. Social exclusion not only had direct negative effect on depression, but also could significantly predict self-control; Cyberostracism also could significantly predict self-control and depression. 3)Social exclusion not only had direct negative effect on depression, but also could affect adolescents′ depression through the mediating role of self-control. But for the cyberostracism, self-control became a full mediator between cyberostracism and depression. This showed that there was a difference between the mechanism of cyberostracism and social exclusion on depression.

Based on social comparison theory, the present study constructed a moderated mediation model to examine whether social network site use would be indirectly related to adolescents′ happiness through negative social comparison, and whether this indirect association would be moderated by social anxiety. A total of 964 middle school and junior high school students(mean age=14.55 years, SD=1.09) were invited to take part in this study. Participants anonymously completed the Scale for Social Network Site Use Intensity, Negative Social Comparison Questionnaire, Social Anxiety Questionnaire and Subjective Happiness Questionnaire. The results showed that: 1)The negative association between social network site use and adolescents′ happiness was mediated by negative social comparison. 2)The mediating effect of negative social comparison was moderated by adolescents′ social anxiety, with the indirect effect was enhanced among high socially anxious adolescents. These findings suggested that both indirect-effect model and interaction model exist in the relationships of social network site use and adolescents′ happiness, creating a moderated mediation model.

There are three main aspects of asymmetry among the intertemporal choice, including time discount, sign effect, and temporal value asymmetry. These aspects, furthermore, refer to the three dimensions: temporal orientation, temporal distance and framing effect. In this study, we conducted an experiment to test the interaction of the three dimensions above by employing two kinds of scenario(gain vs. loss)to asked the participants to judge each scenario according to the different temporal distance(1 month vs. 12 months)and orientations(future vs. past), then calculated the discounting rate of individual participant based on the Hyperbolic Discounting Model. The results showed that the temporal distance has an influence on the“future”events instead of the“past”, and the discounting rate of the“future”was significantly greater than that of the“past”in terms of the same temporal distance. On the other hand, the discounting rate of the“loss”was significantly greater than that of“gain”. Therefore, it proves the reverse sign effect.

Judgments of learning(JOLs)are assessments that people make about how well they learned particular information. The present study explored the accuracy of immediate JOLs. The 5th graders of primary school participated in the experiment, forward-pairs and backward-pairs were selected as experimental materials. The results showed that recall task and association directions affected the accuracy of the JOLs: 1)There was the foresight bias in the JOLs of cued recall task. 2)The JOLs of the two kinds of pairs were both overestimated in free recall task. According to the fluency hypothesis, the difference between encoding fluency and retrial fluency result in the bias of the JOLs accuracy.

Resilience, Loneliness and Self-Efficacy affect the subjective well-being of the elderly, but the relative importance of them is unknown. We used the dominance analysis to explore the question in current research. The Connor-Davidson resilience scale, the UCLA Loneliness Scale and the General Self-Efficacy Scale were employed respectively to measure the Resilience, Loneliness and Self-efficacy of the elderly, while the Subjective Happiness Scale and the Philadelphia Geriatric Center Morale Scale were used to survey the Subjective Well-Being of them. The results indicated that the largest degree of prediction for the Subjective Well-Being of the elderly is Loneliness, Resilience next, and the third is Self-Efficacy. This research suggests that promoting the Resilience and Self-Efficacy of the elderly will improve the Subjective Well-Being of the elderly, and alleviating their Loneliness will be better.

A self-designed moral reasoning scale was constructed and used to evaluate whether the consequences of form, the consequences of expressions, accounting students' grade and sex, working experience and professional level influences moral reasoning. The four conditions included in this scale were the social consequences of self, the consequence of materi-al interests and physiological benefits, the consequences of mental benefits, and the consequences on other people. The results show that the consequence of reasoning did not influence the moral tendency of accounting students and accountants. If participants tended to break the rule of accounting, they mostly considered material benefits for themselves and other persons, then the social benefits, the least considered was the mental benefits for themselves. The number of male in junior grades who considered heavily on the consequences of themselves and material interests was larger than females. Accountants professionals, both on high and low professional level, who considered the physiological consequences of themselves and material interest of themselves and the other people has a looser standard on moral reasoning thinking than accounting students.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (713KB) ( )   References | Related Articles | Metrics
In order to determine the relationship between organizational injustice and counterproductive work behavior(CWB), 118 subjects were randomly chosen to participate in the experiment. Results showed that when people experienced injustice events they were more likely to conduct CWB. Besides, in the injustice situation, subjects with low power distance orientation scored much higher in CWB than those with high power distance orientation;while in neutral scenario, subjects in two groups showed no significant difference in CWB. That is, power distance negatively moderates the relationship between organizational injustice and CWB. Implications of these findings, as well as directions for future research, are discussed.
