The result was as follows: the scale was comprised of six factors. They were biological adaptation, emotional adaptation, living adaptation, study adaptation, social adaptation and interpersonal adaptation. With the approach of adolescence mental health diathesis, we constructed Adolescence Attributional Style Questionnaire. Based on theory, we used interview and expert rating method to establish the dimensions and items of the questionnaire, and then applied the item distinguish analysis and confirmatory factor analysis to revise questionnaire. After two times examining, the formal questionnaire was composed with four dimensions and sixteen items and showed the satisfactory reliability and validity.

The present paper theoretically proposed the multidimensional hierarchical structure of mental healh-related self. Measure instrument was developed on the basis of this structure. The initial indexes representing reliability and validity were obtained from the teenage sample in WuHan. The coefficient alpha values in three subscales, self-cognition, self-evaluation and self-regulation, were 0.81, 0.76 and 0.59 respectively. The results of confirmationary factor analysis initially supported the multidimensional hierarchical model proposed in this study.

The purpose of this study is to develop an adolescent motivation scale in the assessment of a component of adolescent mental health diathesis. The theoretical background is Maslow′s five hierachical motivations and Frankl′s self-transcendence motivation. The measures are Self-esteem Scale, Scale of Self-transcendent Meaning of Life, Scale of Self-focused Meaning of Life, and Scale of Will to Meaning. The total sample consisted of 334 students from a high school in Beijing. The results indicates that internal reliability was very satisfactory(Cronbach′s α=0.90), and the scale possessed high validity. The conclusion was that the scale could be a credible measure of adolescent motivation.

The results were as follows:(1)Interpersonal relationship problems and study pressure were the major life events affecting their mental health.(2)They were more likely to take positive coping styles when facing problems.(3)Factors of their life events and self-criticism, fantasy escape, reasonable factors of their coping styles were comparatively highly positively related with SCL-90, setting problems were distinctly negatively related and seeking help negatively related.(4)Further multivariate backward analysis showed that life event factors of interpersonal relationship problems and study pressure and coping style factors of fantasy, self-criticism, setting problems and health adaptation exerted the greatest effects on their mental health.(5)Coping styles functioned as the intermediate variable between life events and metal health. Nursing students life events, coping styles and mental health are remarkably related, life events and mental health are cause-effect related and coping styles is the resonance variable between life events and mental health.

5251 students from 10 middle school in Xiamen were measured with SCL-90. The reliability and validity of SCL-90 scale were tested, and the content and structure validity were tested by confirmatory factor analysis. The norm was established and contrasted to other study results. The results of this study indicated that the correlations between each item score and the total score were 0.37~0.70, the Crobach alphas of the total scale was 0.97 and the subscales were 0.73~0.88, the split-half reliabilities of the total scale was 0.94 and the subscales were 0.71~0.87. The first-order and the second-order confirmatory factor analysis showed that the observed data perfect fit for the hypothesized structure. The results also indicated that 16.1% of the students showed all kinds of obvious mental health problems and that these mental health problems were essentially focused on hostility, obsessive-compulsive, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, paranoid ideation and anxiety. Finally, the problems of SCL-90 and the results explanation were also discussed.

The issue of teacher burnout has become a hot topic for research. The study examined the effect of attribution on teacher burnout. 170 middle school teachers filled out the questionnaires. Results showed that degree of total teacher burnout was not serious in spite that a small ratio of teachers was experiencing relevantly heavy burnout. Internality and chance significantly correlated with the three dimensions of burnout: emotional exhaustion, personal accomplishment and depersonalization, while power only significantly correlated with depersonalization. Regression analysis revealed that only internality and chance significantly predicted three burnout dimensions.

In the present study, we investigated whether emotional lures can show be falsely recognized after participants studied lists containing phonetic or pictophonetic nonemotional associates. The results shows that(1)There was phonetic and graphemic relatedness effects in Chinese. But the false recognition to the lures were very low in phonetic relatedness effects;(2)The participants produced significant false recognition of emotional lures, even though initially no emotional lures appeared in the phonetic or pictophonetic relatedness lists;(3)The false recognition was almost double in pictophonetic relatedness effects than that in phonetic relatedness effects. The reason was that the generalization was higher in pictophonetic relatedness effects.

Classical music had significantly positive effects on both the junior students′ reading comprehension and the seniors′, however, pop music had negative effects on the junior students′ reading comprehension, but not for the senior students′.(2)Different types of background music had different effects on participants who had background music preference and those who hadn′t background music preference. For participants who had background music preference, classical music had significantly positive effects on reading comprehension, pop music hadn′t significantly negative effects on reading comprehension. For participants who hadn′t background music preference, classical music had no significantly effects on reading comprehension, and pop music had significantly negative effects on reading comprehension.

In the current work, we explored the beliefs of language learning and English learning strategies of 606 university students. The results showed:(1)On the beliefs about language learning, all the female had higher motivation than male. The fermale students in grade one evidently thought learning English was more difficult. The beliefs about learning ability of foreign language were stronger with grade more and more. Compared with students of science, students of arts had higher motivation and thought learning English was more difficult.(2)On English learning strategies, both gender and grade affected six strategies. Students of arts scored higher than those of science in all dimensions except the memory strategies.(3)The beliefs of language learning correlated significantly with English language strategies.
