Using the paradigm of word-picture congruent judging, this paper explored the automatic activation of phonology and orthography and their time courses in the semantic processing of act pictures. Experiment 1 and 2 showed that the automatic activation of phonology and orthography existed in the semantic processing of act pictures. As for the time course, experiment 3 and 4 revealed that when SOA=100ms, the promote effect was found in homophonic condition, but such phenomenon was not found in the orthography-similar condition. When SOA=200ms, the interference effects were found in both homophonic and orthography-similar conditions. In conclusion, the activation of phonology was earlier than that of orthography in the semantic processing of act pictures.

The current study introduced MLTM for MS to have a diagnosis about cognitive characteristics of figure reasoning for middle school students. Eighteen participants were randomly selected to have oral report analysis on SPM. 235 middle students from five classes were selected with the random cluster sampling method with class as unit. The materials for figure reasoning were three tests adapted from SPM. The results suggest that 1)the corresponding ability of components may be different, although they had the same general ability for figure reasoning., and 2), the correct response probability were quite high when subjects used perception analysis strategy and analysis strategy, but low with guess strategy.

Based on the ″Learning-recognition″ paradigm, we used different gender face photos which were with or without external features as materials to study the gender differences in face recognition. The results indicated:(1)When photos with external features, females remember more faces than males. But when photos were without external features, females remembered as many faces as males did.(2)Females remembered more female photos than male photos were which showed the female own gender bias. Males also remembered more female photos than male photos which showed the existence of reverse gender favor.(3)Regardless of subjects′ sex and photo gender, the memory perfermance of photos with external features was better than photos without external features. With the external features, the females significant had more own gender bias.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (623KB) ( )   References | Related Articles | Metrics
Previous research on expectations in I/O field focused on Met Expectation Hypothesis, and the findings on the relations between newcomers′ expectations and organizational socializations were not clearly, which were partly due to inconsistent definitions of newcomers′ expectations, incongruous measurement period and various adjustment outcomes. This study explored the relations between newcomers′ expectations and adaptations during the early stage of organizational socializations. 205 newcomers from 9 firms in Tianjin, Zhejiang and Shandong participated in the study and data on expectations and proximal outcomes of organizational socializations(i.e., task mastery, role clarity, organizational understanding and social integrity)were collected on organizational entry and 3 months later respectively. The findings showed that job-comfort expectations positively correlated with task mastery, role clarity and social integrity, and that job-responsibility expectations positively correlated with role clarity and organizational understanding. The above findings didn′t supported the“specific fit principle”of expectations on adaptations, but supported job expectations as the essential part of newcomers′ expectations from the perspective of expectation′s functions. Establishing positive job expectations was benefit for newcomers. For organizations, it′s necessary not only to provide good work conditions, but also to think much to shape newcomers′ expectations.

In order to explore the conditions of interdisciplinary knowledge integration from the perspectives of knowledge bases and creative thinking, the research chose 125 eleventh graders as the participants and used the method of correlation research examining the relationship of academic achievement, creativity and interdisciplinary concept maps. The results found that:(a)academic achievement was positively correlated with the abilities of interdisciplinary concept maps; the high achievers had better performance on propositions, cross-links and total scores of interdisciplinary than the lower achievers; and the medium achievers had better performance on propositions and total scores of that than the low achievers;(b)creativity was positively correlated with the abilities of interdisciplinary concept maps; the fluency and originality were positively correlated with the all indices of interdisciplinary concept maps; the flexibility was positively correlated with the propositions, cross-links, examples and total scores;(c)academic achievement and creativity could moderately predict the member distribution of different groups of the abilities of interdisciplinary concept maps. Those suggested that academic achievement and creativity were foundations of interdisciplinary knowledge integration.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (400KB) ( )   References | Related Articles | Metrics
The purpose of this paper was to explore the effects of different coping on stress. Seventy-two undergraduates(36 males, 36 females)were assigned to three groups at random, including control group(12 males, 12 females), abdominal breathing group(12 males, 12 females)and ignored regulation group(12 males, 12 females). When the subjects came into the laboratory, we asked him/her to filled in the report of subjective experience. Then the experiment began, recorded his/her finger temperature and blood pressure respectively at different experimental interphase. After the resume phase, fill in the report of subjective experience report again. Abdominal breathing can counter the decline of male students′ finger temperature and effectively counter the increase of their systolic blood pressure when they were in stress. Ignored regulation can effectively counter the increase of female students′ subjective experience. The increase of physical response goes without the increase of subjective experience.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (702KB) ( )   References | Related Articles | Metrics
Positive Psychological Capital(Psycap)is defined as an individual′s positive psychological construct which consists of four dimensions: self-efficacy, resiliency, optimism and hope in Positive Psychology and Positive Organizational Behavior. The Positive Psycap Questionnaire(PPQ)has been developed in this research and about 530 undergraduates of 3 samples participated in the survey. The results of EFA and CFA indicate PPQ has favorable construct validity, and Psycap, the composite higher-order factor, is proved to be a rational psychological construct. All of the Cronbach α coefficients in PPQ are sufficient. The Psycap significantly correlate with its criterions such as self-esteem, locus of control, positive affect and so on. The regression analysis show Psycap has great effect on mental health. All above results suggest that The PPQ is a capable instrument.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (544KB) ( )   References | Related Articles | Metrics
In this study, two experiments manipulated the degree of relation between the target cue and intention, the distractive level of divided attention and the distinctiveness of the taget cue, the function of prospective component and retrospective component in the event-based prospective memory were discussed using the dual-task experimental paradigm. The results showed that:(1)The degree of relation has the greatest effect on the retrospective component of prospective memory. When the relatedness was high, the extraction process of intention consists with automatic process. But when the relatedness was low, the extraction process of intention needs strategic process;(2)Cue-distinctiveness has the greatest effect on the prospective component of prospective memory, and does greatly prompt cue recognition. The recognition of the target cue consists with the automatic process, and when the target cue was not distinctive, the recognition of the target cue needs strategic process.

Economic decision-making consists of two traditional problems: Intertemporal choices and Decision-making under risk and uncertainty. Intertemporal choice is divided into impulsivity and self-control. Paralimbic cortex, are preferentially activated by decisions involving impulsivity, including nucleus accumbens, orbitofrontal cortex in the central and middle prefrontal cortex; and regions of the lateral prefrontal cortex and posterior parietal cortex show enhanced changes in activity by self-controlled decisions. Cerebral cortex and amygdala are associated with the deciong-making under risk and uncertainty.
